Hey — It’s Temidayo.
This morning, someone on X asked, “What are we doing today?”
I replied, “We are winning today.”
But for the sake of this newsletter, I will say we are winning this week.
And that’s why today, I will be showing you how you can easily win a new client this week through your past or current clients.
Without wasting any time, let’s get into it.
✱ – The Network Multiplier Effect
I don’t know about you, but reaching out to former clients for referrals is one of my easiest and most effective methods for landing new clients.
Think about it – the clients you’ve worked for before are sitting on a goldmine of potential new clients for you.
They already know your skills and value. They know exactly what you bring to the table.
So what would it cost them to recommend you to others? NOTHING.
That means, if any of their friends need your services, they will recommend you without wasting time.
The only work you have to do is getting them to actually tell their friends about you. After that, you handle the rest. Very simple.
95% of the time (if they enjoyed your service), they’ll be more than happy to do it – you just have to ask. ASK.
Before you know it, you have a new client. Sometimes, more. In fact, if you’re lucky, you will get access into their professional network (I’m talking from experience 😉).
That’s why I call this game the networking multiplier effect.
It is simple and works like magic.
Want to try it this week? Here is a brief sample of the message I sent to an old client last week in order to get a new referral:
“Hello [Client], I hope everything is good with you!I really enjoyed working with you on [project] and helping take [their problem] off your plate.I wanted to reach out to let you know I’m always looking to connect with new clients who could benefit from my services. Would you be open to introducing me to 1-2 of your friends who you think could use my help?I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.”
Very simple.
Now, go into the week and win a new client!
